Alamo, California is an unincorporated community centered between Walnut Creek to the north, and Danville to the south. It offers several high-scoring and well-regarded schools a part of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, and several parks open to the public all year round. Alamo Plaza offers simple and convenient shopping for nearly every need, and with easy access to I-680, the 28-mile commute to San Francisco is feasible for many residents.
This suburban community is known to be one of the more affluent communities across the United States, and it shows with a quick drive through local parks and schools. The downtown area and neighborhoods are well kept and very safe, thanks to local law enforcement of the San Ramon Valley.
There are many hiking and biking trails, including Iron Horse trail, which runs from Pleasanton to Walnut Creek, and various trailheads leading up the Las Trampas Ridge. On the other side of the valley is easy access to one of California’s pride and joys, Mt. Diablo, which offers hiking, camping, and beautiful sight seeing of the Bay Area.
Alamo offers fun events for the whole family year round including a Summer Concert Series every June through August, Movie Under the Stars in Livorna Park, and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
