This census-designated place just east of Danville is a small community of attractive golf courses, a country club, restaurants, a sports complex, and a retail plaza. Blackhawk is small, but it certainly has it all. The Blackhawk Country Club is an exclusive club at the base of Mt. Diablo consisting of thousands of permanent open land and various grand estates. Inside the country club is the Lakeside golf course, which hosts annually a LGPA Tour event. In addition to golf, the club offers a tennis club, swim club, and a recreation center with basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a children’s play area. Inside the Blackhawk Plaza, a shopping center full of delicious restaurants and luxury shopping is the Blackhawk Museum. The Blackhawk Museum is best known for its collection of rare, and classic automobiles and is partners with the Wheelchair Foundation. Events can be held at the museum for private or corporate affairs.
